Hi HF. Indeed, it is a very emotive issue. We've crossed swords many times but obviously, having different beliefs, we try to highlight those differences and score points. Your passion is to bring to attention the existance of God, whilst I point out the evolutionary facts. It's all down to one's personal beliefs and the big question is: Who is right, who is wrong?

I suppose that if one's beliefs help you through life and give it meaning then what matters what we believe? Providing of course we try to lead honest lives.

I do believe faith and science can be excellent bedfellows, they are by no means mutually exclusive...

HF as you know, I'm not religious, though I believe in a "God" but I think everyone has the right to a place for religion

Nothing wrong with a faith section as long as it is debated with respect for others beliefs rather than throwing abuse.

I'm not religious but I don't have a problem with others as long as they don't try to force their views upon me.

It's an interesting subject, I don't come across many different faiths day to day.  Understanding each others faith is an important lesson in today's society.  [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

ok ...I'll think on this and the seperate rules that will surround it....

I hate to use the word "enforce" but I'm not having those who post in "their" faith section being criticised in THAT section as happened elsewhere...Discussion of faiths can always be done elsewhere...

give me time, I'm just back from a super day taking my grandson fishing for the first time....

Idea

I can make a section to which only those in a particular group are allowed to post, In order to be allowed into that group myself or Eddie will have to grant permission....and we will only do that when we are happy that the would be member is going to behave in a respectful manner....

hows that?
